TRENDS TAKING OVER 2020
Every year, we are met with something dominating and ground-breaking. The first order of business is discerning the most impactful trends of the season and I have handpicked the trends that are setting the tone of our personal styles and the global fashion business this year.
1.The Disco Collar
This elongated, pointed, bold collar style inspired by 1970s fashion made a surprise comeback on the spring 2020 runways. The look which is often paired with contrasting colours to make it really pop is fun and fit for both formal and informal occasions.

2. Trench coats
A wardrobe staple, the trench is the epitome of ease and sophistication! A lot of designers have revamped this in unexpected fabrics, asymmetrical cuts, etc.

3. Shorts
Wearable and comfy with a chic flair, shorts are the ultimate item for the woman who loves to go on an adventure and needs a look that can take her anywhere. They are back and taking their spot.

4. Flat shoes
Comfort made a surprising return to the catwalks, with the likes of Chanel showcasing formal looks with flat shoes and sandals. Flats are just perfect for when you want to wander off the beaten track without taking a thought on your feet hurting.

5. Puffy sleeves
Puffy sleeves have been around and spilled into 2020. The latest of this bold statement is the leg of mutton sleeves. The Victorian-styled sleeve is a spice to a classic wardrobe.

6. Face masks: Face masks have us all staying safe during this period of Covid-19. They are gradually becoming staple wardrobe pieces this year and designers are tapping into the trend creating fashionable ones as we fight the pandemic.

Which of these trends are already in your wardrobe?
