
HOMEMADE APPLE CIDER VINEGAR RECIPE
Apple Cider Vinegar is used in lots of homes for a lot of purposes as it has lots of health benefits. It can be used to wash hair, used for skincare, for cooking, and as a preservative. It also serves as a digestive tonic.
Health benefits of apple cider vinegar include:
- It aids weight loss.
- Helps reduce cholesterol level.
- Helps lower blood sugar level.
- The antimicrobial properties help improve the skin barrier and prevent infections.
Apple cider vinegar is basically the fermented juice from crushed apples, so it’s quite easy to make.
INGREDIENTS:
- Big red apples
- Sugar
- Enough water to cover the apples
- An empty bottle.
PROCEDURE:
STEP 1: Rinse the apple and cut to pieces. Put the pieces of apple in a clean bottle, add sugar and enough water to cover the apples.
STEP 2: Use a handkerchief or cloth to cover the bottle and a rubber band to hold the handkerchief.
STEP 3: Shake the bottle everyday for 2 weeks. You will notice a change – the water will begin to look dull and some particles will start settling at the bottom.
STEP 4: Remove the apples after 2 weeks by draining the water. Wash the bottle with warm water or transfer to another bottle.
STEP 5: Pour the apple cider vinegar back into the jar and use after 4 weeks.
